The Beer

In the heart of the Margaret River, surrounded by vines and red-handed winemakers, what better way to celebrate the end of vintage than blending our traditional kettle-soured Berliner weisse with local shiraz grapes sourced with the help of LS Merchants from Celestial Bay vineyard over on Metricup Road. Perfectly ripe and bursting with intense varietal flavour, the grapes have balanced the delicate lemony, lactic sourness of the beer and added a wonderful depth of flavour. It’s a feast for all the senses with a brilliant deep pink colour, a tangy sourness and a complex, tannic earthiness.  

The Collab

Created as a three way collab, this brew is a once a year showcase of Beerfarm’s ability to adapt, innovate and bust out something truly unique and exciting with both LS Merchants and Silly Pear adding an extra dimension to the project.

The Grape

LS Merchants is the brainchild of winemaker Dylan Arvidson and his partner in life and business Taryn Hogan. Working across the globe on multiple continents, Dylan and Taryn have now been settled in Margaret River with the aim to consistently deliver interesting and thought provoking wines while keeping true to their old world inspirations and having a bloody good time doing it.

Fruit is sourced from passionate people, from vineyards with favourable conditions for where an emphasis on sustainable farming/viticulture is implemented (ie. No/minimal pesticide or herbicide use). Their aim is to have fun making interesting styles of wine, explore the different sub-regions of South West WA, throw a dinner party here and there and get involved with other people pushing the realms of wine and food… hence why we love working with them.

The Artist   

Silly Pear, The man behind this particular can design, has been involved with Beerfarm since the beginning adding his epic artwork and colourful style to Beerfarm throughout their range of collab T-shirts and notably funking up the back bar you’d be hard to miss at the brewery itself. Silly Pear runs his own print shop out of Sydney but is much more than just a T-shirt company having morphed into a design hub offering illustration, design, creative direction, branding and screen printing service. Silly Pear is your alternative to generic design.
