Beerfarm at the 2026 WABA Conference: Learning, Collaboration and the Future of WA Craft Beer

Every year, the Western Australian Brewers Association (WABA) Conference brings together brewers, suppliers and industry professionals from across the state to share knowledge, celebrate achievements and explore what's next for independent beer.

Opportunities to get everyone together are rare, making this year's event even more valuable as we had our entire Beerfarm Production team attend the conference.

The weekend began with the annual Pink Boots quiz night on Thursday evening, a fantastic opportunity to catch up with industry peers while supporting an organisation that champions education and opportunities for women and non-binary people in the brewing industry.

During the conference, Beerfarm was proud to be represented on stage by two of our own. Venue Manager Jack Leonard joined the panel discussion Beer, Brands and Big Nights, sharing his insights into creating memorable hospitality experiences and building strong brewery venues.

Meanwhile, Metricup Head Brewer, Ben Snashall, reflected on his experience as a recipient of the WABA Scholarship earlier this year, discussing how the opportunity has contributed to his professional development and continued passion for brewing.

Beyond the presentations, the trade exhibition offered plenty of opportunities to connect with suppliers and discover what's new across the brewing industry.

From innovative ingredients to emerging technologies and equipment, the team returned with plenty of ideas and valuable contacts that could help shape future beers.

A huge thank you to the Western Australian Brewers Association, the organisers, speakers, suppliers and everyone who made this year's conference another memorable event.
