Introducing Whistling Horse, the beerchild of Whistling Kite and The Horse

Introducing Whistling Horse Specific Ale, a keg-only collaboration beer made with our pals from Whistling Kite (WA) and The Horse (NSW) and the grand prize for kicking some serious beer goals in our Weird Good campaign last year.
We were stoked to have the opportunity to brew a beer with two iconic Aussie venues from either side of the country and create something that would be a reflection of both brands, and the people behind them. With spring around the corner, it only made sense to create a light, fruity, drinkable beverage and this collaboration brew is exactly that.
An easy drinking ale with a light and refreshing malt body complemented by a blend of American and European hops, Whistling Horse is a welcome to spring and the warmer weather. Brewed at a 4.4% ABV with a fruit salad hop aroma, you'll notice the passionfruit, citrus and strawberry characters jumping right out of the glass!
We sent two of our own crew into each venue involved to suss out some of the finer details behind Whistling Horse.

Whistling Kite is a bar, restaurant and destination venue based in Secret Harbour in WA. These guys are known for their delicious teapot cocktails and extensive range of craft beers. Whistling Kite do everything from laid back drinks to fine dining, with a contemporary menu and regional and imported wine list, with strikingly modern architecture throughout.
The Horse is both an iconic Sydney pub and institution which has been kicking since the 1930's, formerly known as The White Horse Hotel. With series of makeover since then, The Horse today has a bar and brasserie, lounge, restaurant and a function room, with an iconic a silver stallion that sits on their rooftop. The Horse showcases some of the best breweries across Australia with17 rotating taps. From rooftop drinks to watching the footy, it's pretty much got it all.
And make sure to get down to Whistling Kite or Beerfarm from October 16th to give Whistling Horse a whirl! The Kite will be buying the first round, shouting punters the first 100 middies.
The Horse will also be offering free middies from 5-6pm on October 23rd when Whistling Horse touches down on the East Coast. Cheers to that!
