Beerfarm Lager Named Finalist in the Inaugural Beer Championships
Aug 21, 2026
We’ve got some crackin' good news to share: Beerfarm Lager has been named a finalist in the inaugural Beer Championships, making it one of the final six beers in the Australian Lager category.
Out of 262 beers entered by 74 breweries, just 42 beers earned a place in the 2026 Beer Championships Finalist field.
The competition was deliberately designed to make finalist recognition difficult with only six beers selected in each of the seven Championship categories.
For our brewing team, seeing Beerfarm Lager among those six is a pretty special result. Quality and consistency are what our team do best, and we're stoked to see their meticulous hard work celebrated.
Lager might look deceptively simple on the surface, but brewing a great lager leaves very little room to hide. Clean fermentation, balance, malt character, hop presence and drinkability all need to come together, and when there are only six spots up for grabs, the details matter.
Our Lager is one of those beers that doesn't need to shout to make an impression.
It's crisp, refreshing and made for easy drinking, whether you're settling in for a long lunch at the Farm, enjoying a few beers with mates or simply reaching into the fridge for a reliable cold one.

We'll find out the result at the Beer Championships Awards Celebration at Brunswick Town Hall in Melbourne on Wednesday 14 October 2026, where all 42 finalists will be celebrated, and the seven inaugural Category Champions will be announced.
From recipe development and brewing through to fermentation, conditioning, packaging and getting the finished beer into your hands, every beer that leaves Beerfarm represents a lot of work behind the scenes.
Honestly, we reckon this is worth cracking a few cold ones for, cheers!
